The following non-medical services are provided to seniors to support their independence:

- Light Housekeeping

- Transportation (done by volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles)

- Assisted grocery shopping

- Light yard work/gardening (currently being piloted)

Note: Fees vary by service and are based on a client's income and ability to pay (sliding scale used).

Mandate

To support seniors’ independence by providing them with basic, non-medical services. The program uses a mix of volunteers and paid contractors to deliver services.

Note: There are a number of public, non-profit and subsidized programs which provide services to seniors. Many of these can be found in the annual Seniors Directory. The Seniors Directory can be accessed online and printed copies are available for free through North Shore Community Resources.

Service Hours

Provide services in client's homes and the community. 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
